New Product Change Notice (PCN) effective Jan 1, 2025. MICROSENSOR appreciate your understanding.
The oil & gas industry is an important part of modern Industry 4.0 and plays an influential part in the global economy. For chemical & oil tanks' pressure and level measurement, the level and pressure transmitters are required to be explosion-proof, stable, and with high accuracy. Besides, the chemical & oil tank pressure sensors and transmitters require several certificates, such as ATEX explosion-proof, ECM, DNV ship use, etc.
Generally, the pressure sensor for water tank and pressure transmitter for water tank pressure measurement can be divided into two types, contact types such as submersible pressure sensor in the water or fixed in the bottom of the tank as well as differential pressure transmitter mounted in the tanks via tubes or pipes, and the contactless type water pressure sensor which radar and ultrasonic pressure sensors are required. MICROSENSOR offers both contact and non-contact types.
Industrial gases are widely used in modern industry productions while storage tanks are needed for storage and transportation. For the gas tanks, pressure measurement ensures safe storage conditions, maintaining proper pressure vaules, and preventing overpressure or underpressure situations. Special-structure gas tank pressure sensors are designed for various gases, such as natural gas(methane), LPG, oxygen, nitrogen, etc. The gas tank pressure sensors require high accuracy, long-term stability as well as explosion-proof certifications to ensure safe operation, improve production efficiency and reduce personnel costs.

A tank pressure transmitter or tank level transmitter can work with most sealed or open(vented) tanks, provided the correct type (gauge, absolute, differential), material compatibility, and pressure/level ranges are matched. Here's a classification from a shape perspective:
Vertical: Tall, narrow tanks standing upright, common for water storage and gas tanks.
Horizontal: Longer, wider tanks lying on their side, used for industrial storage.
Spherical Tanks: Optimal for gas storage due to uniform stress distribution; used for liquefied gases like LPG.
Elliptical or Oval Tanks: Used in specialized applications where space or specific flow characteristics are needed.
Open-top Tanks: Used for temporary storage or processing, often with a cylindrical or rectangular shape.
MICROSENSOR offers customized tank pressure solutions according to customers' unique requirements. Regardless of whether it's water tanks, oil tanks, chemical tanks, or other industrial gas tanks, once we receive an inquiry from customers, our R&D team collaborates with our production and quality teams to offer suitable products, from design to testing and production. Micro Sensor's tailor-made team is capable of customizing materials, pressure ports, output signals, and threads, of course.
