Xiong'an new district is an emerging demonstration area of China, rich in geothermal resources. Micro Sensor participated in its geothermal well reconstruction project. It is a successful case of geothermal resource monitoring in China to prevent disorderly arrangement to achieve reasonable, effective, and recyclable use of natural resources.
In April, I went back to the Xiong'an site again, and it reminds me of the time of the project in 2018.
Project Review
Survey and research period:
In the early stage of the project, we visited, measured and counted every owner and each well in Anxin County in order to master the detailed information of all the wells: the depth of the pump, the distance from the well to the pump house, the temperature of the well water, high temperature or general level transmitter available, the diameter of the pipeline for choosing the flow meter and whether there are mobile phone signals or not in theremote monitoring terminal (RTU) installation location, etc.
Careful and comprehensive on-site investigations have enabled us to provide the most appropriate system solutions for the geothermal renovation project in Xiong'an New District.
Product supply and installation period:
Since the project has to be completed before the start of heating on November 15th, it was really urgent situation for us. However, it is our responsibility and honor to help the construction of Xiong'an New District. Our production staff worked overtime and finally delivered the required products in time. After then our technicians went onsite to go through the door-to-door technical installation guidance immediately.
Even though time is tight and product quantity is large, all members from Micro Sensor made teamwork together and made their own contribution to the success of this project in Xiong’an New District.
Commissioning period:
Originally, we expected that debugging should be the easiest part and could be completed within three days, instead, it was the most difficult part.
Due to the very fragile magnetic field in the pump room, the electromagnetic interference is very strong, which makes the electromagnetic flowmeter unable to transmit signals to the RTU module. On the first day, the onsite technician tried many times from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm but failed to transmit the signal. After studying and analysis of the onsite situation, another experienced technician came in from our headquarters. They worked together, analyzed the onsite situation, fixed the exact problem, made experiments, and then gave a complete solution. At last, with the joint efforts of the two engineers, the problem was solved and the system runs successfully.
This episode let me realize that in the face of difficulties, you can handle them once you are strong!
Although the weather in December was cold and windy, the problem solved for customers still made us feel happy and warm.
The instruments used in the geothermal reconstruction project of Xiong'an New District were all working normally.
