On October 24, Micro Sensor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Micro Sensor") was invited to attend the "2024 INDUSTRIES FUNCTIONAL SAFETY AND OT CYBERSECURITY TECHNOLOGY SEMINAR" held by SGS, an internationally recognized testing, inspection and certification association, in Shanghai. At the seminar, SGS issued the SIL2 functional safety certificate for the MDM7100 Smart Pressure Transmitters independently developed by Micro Sensor.
Wen Duling, General Manager of SGS Industrial Service Sales, and Cindy Liu, General Manager of Micro Sensor Process Industry Business Division II, attended the ceremony on behalf of their respective companies.
SIL certificate is based on IEC 61508 (GB/T 20438), IEC 61511 (GB/T 21109), IEC 61513, IEC 13849-1, IEC 62061, IEC 61800-5-2 and other standards. It is a third-party assessment, verification and certification for evaluating and confirming the safety integrity level (SIL) or performance level (PL) of safety equipment. Functional safety certificate mainly includes facility security management (FSM) for the safety equipment development process, hardware reliability calculation and assessment, software assessment, environmental testing, EMC testing, etc.
Smart pressure transmitters are a common measuring instrument in process industries. They are used in various complex industrial automation conditions and can detect and warn of potential faults and dangers. MDM7100 Smart Pressure Transmitters of Micro Sensor have passed the SIL2 authoritative certificate of SGS TUV, indicating that they meet the IEC 61508 SIL 2 safety performance.
MDM7100 Smart Pressure Transmitters are used to measure pressure. It adopts advanced mono-Si sensor, modular design, precision linear calibration, temperature compensation system and smart manufacturing technology, with high accuracy, high stability and high reliability.
In addition, it also has complete intelligent diagnosis, data monitoring, configuration and multiple communication functions, high electromagnetic compatibility, lightning protection, and high medium compatibility. It is widely used in metallurgy, chemical industry, electric power, petroleum and petrochemical, environmental protection, building materials and other industries.
Cindy Liu said: "In the future, Micro Sensor will provide more in-depth services to customers in the process industry, further enhance product performance advantages, and provide more stable, safer, and more efficient measuring instruments. We hope that all relevant parties will work together to enhance the technical level and independent innovation capabilities. We hope to enhance China's overall strength and international competitiveness in related industries and promote the sustainable development of the industry."
